If you appreciate wonderful Scottish game then Mike at the Hubertus Game stall will bring new season birds this week including Grouse, Mallard, Partridge and Pheasant. Also this month Borland Highland Beef have brilliant packs of Highland mince on offer and Braes of Coull have succulent beef and lamb joints perfect for the pot. To get the best flavour from your fruit and vegetables buying in season is a must and October brings colourful golden beetroot and beautiful purple cauliflower certain to give the wow factor to the dinner plate add some Rooster potatoes for perfection. |

The farmers market is not only the best place to find delicious home grown foods but it is also a great place to bring the family for a morning of tasting, chatting and keeping in touch with the rest of the community The farmers market products change naturally with the seasons and over the next few months Autumn and Winter goodies will fill the stalls. Organisers hope the market will be buzzing with customers not only concerned about what they eat but also are keen to cut down on food miles.
